TIME TRIALS: Run exactly like a meet. 

Results help determine the first A meet line up.

• DATE: One week prior to first A meet on Saturday, 8am-12pm.
• PARTICIPANTS: All swimmers 9 and older, 8u swimmers entered by the coach
• TEAM SUITS: sold at Time Trials by Sport Fair. The team suit is encouraged for A Meets. Suits from previous seasons are welcome. After Time Trials, team suits may be purchased at Sport Fair in Arlington. 

A- MEETS: Saturday mornings

• Structured, scored dual meets in our MCSL Division.
• 50 meter events including free, back, breast, fly and the 100 meter individual medley (IM).
• Includes boys’ and girls’ medley and freestyle relays.
• Coaches build meet line-ups based on swimmer’s fastest times and availability. 
• MCSL rules limit swimmers to a maximum of three individual events plus the IM and one relay event.
• Swimmers may not participate in the same stroke in both an A-meet and the following B-meet.
• NOTE: Coaches will build a line up that they believe will score the most points overall. In some cases, swimmers will not swim their favorite or best events.
• Only A-Meet times count towards qualifying for Divisionals and All-Stars.

B- MEETS: Wednesday evenings

• Inclusive, developmental meets giving swimmers an opportunity to swim competitively, record times and win ribbons.
• In addition to meet availability, parents/swimmers must indicate the EVENTS they are available to swim in the B meet by Sunday, midnight the week of the B meet.
• Coaches place swimmers in events when they believe the swimmer is ready: a legal stroke is a big factor.
• B meets have numerous heats due to the wide participation.
• Meets are not scored and do not include relays.
• Swimmers may not participate in the same stroke (which they scored points in an A-meet) in the the following B-meet.
• Team follows meet entry guidelines of the host team.
• Times count towards qualifying for the next "A" dual meet.

• Team registration & dues must be paid up front and are non-refundable.

  • 9-12 Years: $175 Equity Members; $205 Full Summer
  • 13-14 Years: $160 Equity Members; $190 Full Summer
  • 15-18 Years: $130 Equity Members; $160 Full Summer

Team Practice Descriptions by Age Group

8u Team - Coaches work in small groups in-water and deck coaching. To be considered for this practice group: Child must swim 25 meters freestyle continuously under 50 seconds. Some knowledge of breaststroke and butterfly helpful. Must swim 25 meters under 40 seconds to be consider for B meets.

9-11 Practice Group - all invited to improve skills and increase conditioning. 

12 and older Practice Groups - all invited, reinforce proper technique using drills and interval training.
