Dear Merrimack,

Saturday was our first home A MEET and it was a FUN one. Thank you to all our parent volunteers for making the meet a success. Keep reading for time trials photos and results!

MOST IMPORTANT! 

BY TONIGHT, SUNDAY 6/22, 11:59 PM DEADLINE to RSVP for this week’s B & A MEETS!!!

• Our B Meet is this Wednesday at HOME versus Mohican. Everyone is eligible to swim, but your swimmer will not swim unless you mark them “available” for the meet.
• If you swam the A Meet on Saturday, you may not swim the same events in the B Meet. The only exception is freestyle. You may swim again if you did not finish in the top 5.
• Our second HOME A meet verse Forest Knolls is this Saturday morning. Make sure to mark available!

RELAY CARNIVAL!! DEADLINE TO DECLARE IS FRIDAY 6/27!

• The Relay Carnival is an annual meet where coaches select which swimmers will compete. This year, the meet will be held on Sunday, July 6 at Damascus.
• Declare your availability no later than Friday! Better yet, go ahead and do it now! Coach Elizabeth will notify selected swimmers the week of the meet.

MORNING PRACTICES RUN ALL WEEK

• ON WEDNESDAY, MORNING PRACTICE ONLY (HOME Swim Meet in the afternoon)
• Swimmers are encouraged to practice every day. The schedule is meant to provide maximum flexibility.

MONDAY 6/23: List of B-Meet swimmers emailed to the team

TUESDAY 6/24: Pep Rally, cheers at 6:05pm

• Theme: Animals! Wear your animal print, tails, ears or onesies!

WEDNESDAY 6/25: HOME B-MEET vs. Mohican at Merrimack Pool

• Everyone EXCEPT 8&U warm-up at 5 pm
• 8&U arrive at 5:40 pm
• Theme: Animals!
• Meet details coming this week: How to volunteer, timing, and meet program will arrive in your inbox before the meet.

THURSDAY 6/26: A Meet entries emailed

FRIDAY 6/27:

• Donuts & Weekly Friday Awards at 8:45 am!

• Merrimack Car Window Decorating right after Friday Awards, 8:50 am - 9:10 am.
  • Join our coaches and show your Merrimack spirit by decorating your car windows with WASHABLE markers!
• Friday Night Potluck for our 15-18 year old swimmers. 
  • More information is coming soon!

SATURDAY 6/28:

• 8am HOME A-Meet vs Forest Knolls
  • Theme: Animals!
  • Meet details coming this week: How to volunteer, timing, and meet program will arrive in your inbox before the meet.

• POOL SOCIAL for our 9-10 and 11-12 age group swimmers! 
  • Come gather at the pool from 7-9pm and have fun with your friends! 
  • Pool will be open usual hours until 9pm and lifeguards will be on duty.

It is very important to attend meets if you sign up to volunteer. No-shows make more work for everyone. Please email us if you signed-up but can no longer volunteer.

DONUTS & WEEKLY AWARDS ON FRIDAY AT 8:45 AM

Donuts and awards are a fun and delicious Merrimack tradition during Friday morning practice! Coaches hand out weekly awards to swimmers who show great sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork. Then EVERYONE gets donuts. Here are last week’s Award Winners–Go Merrimack!
