GO MANIACS! We had an exciting win in our first A meet against Forest Knolls on Saturday! Congratulations to all our committed swimmers who swam legally and pushed through challenging races with great sportsmanship. Thank you to our swimmers, coaches, volunteers, and parents for making the morning great.

MOST IMPORTANT BY TONIGHT, SUNDAY 6/14!

• 11:59 PM DEADLINE to RSVP for this week’s B & A MEETS!!!
  • Our first B Meet is a home meet this Wednesday against Little Falls. Everyone is eligible to swim. However, your swimmer will not swim unless you mark them “available” for the meet.
  • If you swam the A Meet on Saturday, you may not swim the same events in the B Meet. The only exception is freestyle. You may swim freestyle again if you did not finish in the top 5 at the A meet.
  • Meet day entries are prohibited.
  • Parents and swimmers can choose their events when they sign up for B meets (please limit entries to 3 events, with the exception of the IM. Coaches will review entries and may make changes.

RELAY CARNIVAL!! DEADLINE TO DECLARE IS FRIDAY 6/19!

• The Relay Carnival is a fun and fast-paced annual meet where coaches select which swimmers will compete. This year, the meet will be held on Sunday, June 28 at Palisades, and includes swimmers from all teams in Division F.
• Relay entries and relay order are subject to change (up until the moment of the race!)

MORNING PRACTICES RUN ALL WEEK.

• ON WEDNESDAY, MORNING PRACTICE ONLY Schedule below and on the website.
• Swimmers should ideally practice daily either morning or evening. The schedule is meant to provide maximum flexibility.

• 8-10 pm - Fun Night for 13 and older swimmers!
  • The pool is open for our active 13 and older swimmers only.

MERRIMACK MERCH! Orders have arrived! If you haven’t already picked up your merch, we’ll have it out at a table during this week’s B meet. We still have some custom swim caps that haven’t been picked up too.

DONUTS & WEEKLY AWARDS ON FRIDAY AT 8:45 AM: If you can make Friday morning practice, this is a fun and delicious Merrimack tradition! Coaches hand out weekly awards to swimmers who show great sportsmanship, leadership, etc. Then EVERYONE gets donuts.

WHAT’S A DQ?

DQ stands for disqualified - and it’s very common! Reassure your child this is all just part of learning to swim.

WHAT TO WEAR TO A SWIM MEET?

We love to see our Merrimack suits and caps on our swimmers, but they are not required. If you don’t have a Merrimack suit, you can wear any suit without another team’s or club’s logo. No tech suits.

WHERE CAN I SEE TIMES AND MEET RESULTS? Under the My Account tab on the Merrimack Website, you can see a list of your swimmers. Click a swimmer’s name to view their times. Meet results are posted here!

WHAT TIME ARE PRACTICES?

Morning Practices Begin (Monday to Friday)

• 8 and under, 9-10,11-12 8 am - 8:45 am
• 11-12 and 13 and older 8:45 am - 10 am

(Please note that our 11-12 swimmers have the option to do either practice. Choose what works best for your family!)

Morning Donuts and Awards - 8:45 am on June 19th, June 26th, July 3rd and July 10th

Afternoon Practice (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday)

• Ages 12 and older 4:30-5:30pm
• Ages 8&U 5:30-6:30pm
• Ages 9-11 6:15-7pm
