Dear Merrimack,

Happy Father’s Day to all of our wonderful Merrimack Dads!

Congratulations to all of our maniacs who helped us win our second A meet on Saturday. It was an exciting meet with lots of incredible swims. A shout out to our 8U swimmers for their legal butterfly races! Thank you to all our parent volunteers for making the meet a success.

MOST IMPORTANT: BY TONIGHT, SUNDAY 6/21, 11:59 PM DEADLINE to RSVP for this week’s B & A MEETS!!!

• Our B Meet is this Wednesday at AWAY at Mohican. Everyone is eligible to swim, but your swimmer will not swim unless you mark them “available” for the meet. Please remember to sign up to volunteer. You all make our meets happen!
• If you swam the A Meet on Saturday, you may not swim the same events in the B Meet. The only exception is freestyle. You may swim again if you did not finish in the top 5.
• Our second HOME A meet verses Palisades is this Saturday morning. Make sure to mark availability!

RELAY CARNIVAL: Participant list attached

• The Relay Carnival is an annual meet where selected swimmers from each pool in our division come together to compete in a relay-only meet. Coaches choose swimmers for this meet based on a variety of factors including best times, availability, and stroke needs for each race. This year, the meet will be held on Sunday, June 28 at Palisades.
• A list of relay carnival participants is attached! Please let us know immediately if you have a swimmer on the list who cannot participate!

MORNING PRACTICES RUN ALL WEEK

• ON WEDNESDAY, MORNING PRACTICE ONLY (AWAY Swim Meet in the afternoon)
• Swimmers are encouraged to practice every day. The schedule is meant to provide maximum flexibility.

MONDAY 6/22: List of B-Meet swimmers emailed to the team

TUESDAY 6/23: Pep Rally, cheers at 6:05pm

• Theme: Minions! You have your yellow caps! Add some denim and get creative!

WEDNESDAY 6/24: AWAY B-MEET @ Mohican

• Everyone EXCEPT 8&U warm-up at 5 pm
• 8&U arrive at 5:30 pm
• Theme: Minions!

THURSDAY 6/25: A Meet entries emailed

FRIDAY 6/26:

Donuts & Weekly Friday Awards at 8:45 am!

SUNDAY 6/28:

It is very important to attend meets if you sign up to volunteer. No-shows make more work for everyone. Please email us if you signed-up but can no longer volunteer.

DONUTS & WEEKLY AWARDS ON FRIDAY AT 8:45 AM

Donuts and awards are a fun and delicious Merrimack tradition during Friday morning practice! Coaches hand out weekly awards to swimmers who show great sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork. Then EVERYONE gets donuts. Here are last week’s Award Winners–Go Maniacs!
