Wow! An undefeated season for Merrimack, which is a first for us since 2019! Congratulations to all of our coaches, first time swimmers, graduating swimmers and every swimmer in between. Our regular season meets are wrapped up…but there is still fun to be had by all.

THE WEEK AHEAD

PRACTICES:

Morning Practice: Monday through Thursday

*******Last morning practice for the regular season is Thursday morning!*****

• 8u, 9-10, 11-12: 8-8:45am
• 11 and older: 8:45-10am

Evening Practices: Monday and Tuesday only

******Last afternoon practice for the regular season is Tuesday afternoon*****

• 12 and older: 4:30-5:30 pm
• 8u: 5:30-6:15 pm
• 9-11: 6:15-7 pm

SUNDAY 7/12: BANQUET RSVP DEADLINE IS TONIGHT!

• RSVP here for all swimmers and family members attending.
• If you have a family member attending who isn’t registered in Swimtopia, enter your family member as a guest and include their name and age in the comments.
• RSVP’s are important so our coaches can make personalized paper plate awards. They are a fun Merrimack tradition but we need to know your swimmer is attending to receive one!

WEDNESDAY 7/15:

4 pm-4:30 pm Mini Maniacs Regular Practice

4:40 pm MINI MEET: Come cheer on our mini maniacs as they make their debut in the water.

• Our 12 and ups who signed up to be a timers, please arrive by 4:30!
• We still need a few more timers! Any 12 and older swimmer who wants to time can sign up here. Please click “Jobs” and sign up as the parent.

5:00pm: TEAM PHOTO and FUN MEET:

• TEAM PHOTO please arrive by 5:00pm (we will wait for our minis to finish their races before taking the photo!)
  • Wear your Merrimack suit or your favorite Merrimack gear!
  • We would love to have all of our swimmers!
• The Fun Meet activities will start immediately after our team photo (at approximately 5:30pm). This meet is open to all of our swimmers from 8U age groups through 15-18. It’s always a fun time!
• Your coaches have designed a fantastic schedule of wacky races designed for each age group.
• Please let us know if you will be attending! RSVP here!

SATURDAY 7/18:

• Divisionals - Invitation Only (Emails to qualifying swimmers have been sent out!)
  • Westleigh Pool

SUNDAY 7/19:

• Swim Team Banquet! 
  • Please note the new start time: 12pm (to accommodate all of our World Cup fans!)

• Location: Maggiano’s Little Italy Restaurant in Chevy Chase, 5333 Wisconsin Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20015
• Time: 12pm
• We hope the whole swim team can make it! RSVP deadline is tonight!

COACHES FUND:

• Whether you’re able to attend the banquet or not, kindly DONATE to the coaches fund. Crowdfunding goes to the remarkable Coach Elizabeth and her dedicated coaching crew.
